1205984 Pte. John Joseph Mahon British Army 2nd Btn. Royal Dublin Fusiliers from:Dublin My Granddad John Joseph Mahon enlisted in the Royal Dublin Fusiliers on the 15 August 1913 and landed with the British Expedition Force in France on the 22/26 August 1914. He was shot and wounded at the Battle of Le Cateau on the 27th August 1914, taken prisoner and was a POW till the 2nd November 1918 after which he was demobbed on the 5th February 1919. Additional Information: I have recently found out that is my great grandad through my mother, her father Thomas Mahon was John's son.
