David Moodie was my grandfather. He was an Old Contemptible and served throughout the war. Then in 1919 he sailed with the regiment from Liverpool to Rangoon, India, to serve in the prison service.I have tried many times to access service records for him, but this has been unsuccessful. I have one photograph of him in uniform, in a group of soldiers He died in 1984.

Celebrate by honouring members of your family who served in the Great War both in the forces and at home. We love to hear about the soldiers, but also remember the many who served in support roles, nurses, doctors, land army, muntions workers etc.
