5043336 Joan Short Nurse My mother, Mrs Joan Chandler nee Short, was a nurse during the 2nd World War. She was sent, by train from Southern England, with a group of elderly patients to (as she remembers) Bangour Hospital, Midlothian. I am bringing her to Scotland next May to revisit some of the places she visited during the War and I am trying to find this old hospital. Internet searches have proved fruitless, have any of you heard of it. She remembers it as a collection of Nissen Huts near to another place where she used to collect meals. Here she nursed the elderly and some German prisoners of war.
