500585 Joyce Lomax Land Army I joined the Women's Land Army in 1947 at the age of 18. On the 9th of June 1947 I was sent to Spalding in Lincolnshire, where we stayed at a place called Holland House. My friends in the Land Army were Edna Gadman who lived at Sutton Flats, Salford, Annie (I don't remember her last name) who also lived in Salford, and Alma Stamp from Doncaster. I left the Land Army in October of 1947. If anyone remembers me or knows of my Land Army friends please contact me.
