500576 Phillip Eric Page Army Middlesex Regiment I'm trying to gather information about my Grandad and his time in World War II. His name was Phillip Eric Page and served in the Middlesex Regiment, He was captured in June 1940, but am unsure when he arrived at Stalag XXA. We are currently going through old papers and photos that we have, and hopefully in the near future I will be posting what we find.
If anyone has any information on the Middlesex Regiment we would love to hear from you as we are trying to find as much information as possible. Thanks for taking the time to read this
Additional Information: | After the death of my parents I have found a photobook within a name of E.A. Page, 45 Elm Grove Clacton-Sea. 1/7 Middlesex Regiment, British Liberation Army. Date 27/11/44. He is writing: From England in june, it is true, it was not to soon. On the day of invasion came troops of the allied Nations. They landed in France, then by fate, and by chan ce, the fighting was tough. And at times the going was rough trough the Germans made a stand, the boys were soon in Holland. Whre the welcome that awaited us was for their part most generous.Joseph H Hermans
