Royal Navy HMS Wakeful
from:Gilsgate, Durham City
Wilf Brown, Buster served in the Royal Navy from 1936 to 1948. He was on HMS Drake and HMS Wakeful when it sank on 29th of May 1940 at Dunkirk. He also served on HMS Royal Sovereign, HMS Eaglet, HMS Dido, and LST 373. Wilf was a Freeman of the City of Durham.
