Duncan Macfarlane

Duncan Macfarlane was my father who died April 1990 and served in Holland during WW2. He was called up when I was only about 3 or 4 years old. I think he did his training in Ireland and was in Holland when the dikes were destroyed by the Germans, probably near end of the war. I was 8 years old when war ended and my older sister was 10, and when Dad returned home we ran upstairs, peering down through the banisters at this stranger, not having seen him for a long time!
