John Riggins Royal Navy HMS Cumberland from:Glasgow My dad, John Riggins was spending 5 days ashore in South Africa when he encountered his own dad, Samuel Riggins, whose ship was also in South Africa. My dad hadn't seen him for a few years so it was by accident that they met. His ship was HMS Cumberland. I don’t know a lot about what he did during the war as he didn't speak about it. All he said about it was that he met his dad who had done a runner years before the war. It would be nice to maybe find out something about what my father did.
