261545 Pvt. John W. Paddy US Army 100th US Infantry Division My uncle John Paddy was a POW at Stalag 5, having been captured in Bitche, France. He used always to say he just called it a word you would pronounce without the e on the end! He obviously suffered in captivity and would tell me about his time there. He was very young, having enlisted at 16. Apparently he weighed only 97 lbs when he was liberated. I'm so thankful for his service and all the other family and people who served.
