William Herbert Hill

British Army Royal Berkshire Regiment

from:Staffordshire

My father Bill Hill was with the Royal Berkshire Regiment. He fought in Burma 1942-45 and was awarded the Burma Star. He wrote poems whilst he was there and I still have some of those poems. He wrote about the Japanese and areas he fought in like on the road to Mandalay. He died in 1969. For my 60th birthday my children gave me encased medals and photo of my father with his medals and a framed poem Dagger Division.
