Pte. Albert Hull

British Army Cameron Highlanders (Queens Own)

from:Park Crescent, High Blantyre, Scotland

My Uncle Albert Hull fought and was wounded in Normandy 1944. He was rescued, after being shot in the leg, by his sergeant who carried him to safety. The sergeant returned to the battle to rescue another fallen comrade but sadly both the sergeant and his comrade were killed by machine gun fire. My Uncle was taken to a hospital ship and shared a billet with Lord Lovat. I am very, very proud of him and all who served in WW2 who fought and defended the freedom we have today.
