Archibald Cowan was a territorial soldier called up for duty. He served with the 7th Battalion Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders in WW2 and fought in the Battle of France in 1944.
Archibald died 9th of July 1944 aged 33 years and is buried in the Stirling (Ballengeich) Cemetery in Scotland. Son of Archibald and Agnes White Cowan, of Stirling; husband of Margaret Cowan, of Stirling.
