Pte. Thomas Dorrington

British Army Duke of Cornwalls Light Infantry

from:West Ham, London

My father, Tom Dorrington, was in France and Belgium with the BEF and escaped from Dunkirk on 1st of June 1940. He also served in North Africa and Italy. Tom was in Rome on D-Day. He was captured near Florence in October 1944. Tom was liberated by General Patton's group on 29th of April 1945 from Stalag VIIA at Moosburg near Munich.
