Dvr. Thomas William Horry

British Army 2nd. A.A. Division Royal Signals

from:Swineshead, Lincs.

My Dad, Thomas Horry joined up on 4th of December 1940 with the Royal Corps of Signals, he enisted as a driver and trained at York before being posted overseas. He embarked for India on 5th of November 1944 and disembarked at Bombay on 7th of December 1944.At one time, the story goes, he drove Gracie Fields around when she was entertaining the troops. I do have a letter she wrote, one that he sent home. I should like to know more of what Dad did whilst in Burma.
