My father, Leslie Jackson, served in Egypt as a W.S/Sargent HQ and No. 2 Base Workshops, Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers in WW2. He enlisted on 8th of August 1940 until 18th of December 1945. He must have come home on leave as I was born in 1943.
Like most, he never spoke to his children about his war time experiences. Any information about HQ & No 2 Base Workshop in Egypt would be gratefully appreciated.
