256022 Tpr. C. "Tich" Boyle British Army 4th Btn. Royal Tank Regiment I served with Tich Boyle in the 4th Royal Tank Regiment in Baor, Aden, and Malaysia.
He managed the regimental football team in Hereford, Germany and the Beat group, the Blackjacks in Seremban, Malaysia, Kuching, Borneo, and Baor.
Quite a character, he never spoke about his POW experience other than
he had the misfortune to be captured.
I would assume that he is no longer with us, and pay my respect to him and his long service to Great Britain after WW2.
A Good soldier and an all round decent chap.
He also spoke very good German in several dialects that got us a sound welcome and sometimes a discount in many a local Bier bar.
