Pte. Richard Derwas Farnden

British Army 1/5 Btn. Queens Royal Regiment (West Surrey)

Richard Farnden was captured in France in 1940 and sent to Stalag 20b Marienburg. He took part in the long march and survived the war.

Additional Information:

He was in C Company, 14 Platoon and was captured at Oudenarde, Belgium 21/05/1940. He was a POW in XXA Thorm and XXB Marienburg and spent most of the time on work parties. He was part of the "long march" and repatriated in April/May 1945. He died in 2009.
