255142 AM2. Albert Edmund Maguire Royal Navy HMS Gosling from:Salford Eddie Maguire is my grandfather by marriage. The absolute love of my life and missed terribly every day.
He served from 15th of February 1944 to 12th of February 1946.
He went on to continue working on the docks in Salford before meeting my grandmother in a bar one fateful night and vowing to his friends that he would marry her.
I have a very small amount of memories of my grandfather as I was very young when a family feud occurred and when I was finally able to get in touch with my grandparents, I found out my grandfather had passed away. His statement of naval service says he was very good throughout naval service. He was a wonderful man.
