Pte. Henry James Amos

Harry Amos was originally a bank messenger from Dagenham Essex. The bank moved him out of London to safety in Stafford, where he joined up.
Stationed at the Battle of Arnhem, Harry went missing in 1944 and was hidden by a Dutch family near Arnhem.
He was eventually captured and sent to Stalag 12a Limburg where he worked in a surface coal mine. Liberated in 1945, Harry had his 21st birthday in a POW camp.
