254318 John Plunkett British Army Royal Signals from:Liverpool My Dad, John Plunkett served in the Royal Signals during WW2. He told us that he was posted to Tripolitania. He remembered that himself and his friend were forgotten about when the war finished and they had to hitch-hike home under their own steam because their squadron had left without them!
My Dad died some years ago and I wish that I had asked him more about his time at war. I'd love to know more about the Royal Signals in Tripolitania during WW2 but I can't find anything about it. I be really pleased if anyone can help with my search.
