Harry Jones

National Fire Service & Auxiliary Fire Service

from:Rose Rd., Harborne, Birmingham

Harry is marked no 1.

My father, Harry Jones, served in both National Fire Service and Auxiliary Fire Service during and just after the Second World War. He also worked after hours as a pall bearer for local funeral directors as there were so many dead to bury due to bombing in Birmingham. He passed away in 1986 aged 82. He was, in my eyes, a very brave man and an excellent father to me.

Harry & Colleagues.
