251527 Joseph "Jack" Dooley British Army Highland Light Infantry from:Birkenhead Joseph Dooley served with the Highland Light Infantry. I was the proud son in law of this modest man. In my eyes another hero who helped ensure that the grip of Nazi Germany was finally destroyed. There were so many heroes some killed in action and most now gone from this planet with the sands of time. I feel privileged to have known Jack and was lucky enough to hear first hand some of the great things he did in the war effort. It is important that the men and women who gave up so much for so few are forever remembered not just in this conflict but in conflicts past and present that have protected our island from the evil that exists in this world past and present too.
