Sgt. William George Joseph Jones

According to the book, Barbed Wire, published post WW2, my father, Sgt Bill Jones, was a forger of escape documents, and, also, made escape clothing for escapees. He was highly commended for the accuracy of aforementioned documents.
He was in Stalag 383. Hohenfels, for the duration of the War. He says he was liberated by a U.S. marine sergeant, by the name of Jefferson, though I am uncertain as to whether that was his first, or last name. That's how I came to have Jefferson in my name. He was a dispatch rider
