246935 Pte. Kenneth Ward British Army Durham Light Infantry My uncle Ken Ward was part of the DDay landings and he wrote a book about his time in the war. It is a brilliant story and I learnt a lot about him, it made me laugh and cry. It starts with him growing up in the east end of London before and during the war before he signed up into the DLI.
