Sgt Michael Charles O'Donovan Fuller

Royal Air Force 35 Squadron

from:Pampisford, Cambs

(d.October 1943/4)

My great uncle was lost on a raid over Düsseldorf, he was a Wireless Operator and Air Gunner, he volunteered for this fateful trip after convincing the M.O. he was fit, 5 weeks earlier his plane crash landed and he broke his collar bone and was concussed.

He used to play the violin on the dispersal to ease the tension of his fellow airmen. My aunt has an oil painting of him in her lounge and he was a very handsome man, chiselled looks and Clarke Gable style moustache, cap slanted on his head.

I've been trying to find the serial numbers of his aircraft so I can make a model of it as a tribute to him, anybody know where I start??
