My Grandad, Howard Harborow known as Dan was born in 1915 in Cannock, Staffs, he was a Private in the RAOC, 5th Leicestershire and Northamptonshire Regiment. Along with his service records he kept a letter and photograph of himself that he had sent to a friend and fellow serviceman called Charles Ernest Woolley. However the letter was returned as Ernie had died in Sicily in 1943.
