Michael Lewes Dix-Hamilton British Army Lovat Scouts Yeomanry Michael Dix was born on 3rd July 1910 and named Michael Lewes Dix, he later changed his name by deed poll in 1940 to Dix-Hamilton. He was the son of Lieutenant Colonel Stephen Hamilton Dix and Ida Mary Turpin and husband of Mabel Evelyn Selina Mary Woodburn. He was a practicing solicitor and saw service during WWII with the Lovat Scouts Yeomanry raising through the ranks to Major. He died in August 1981 aged 71 years.
