Victor Millard

Civil Defence ARP

from:Southampton

My late Father Walter Millard was an Air Raid Warden in World War II in Southampton, Hampshire and his brother Victor Millard served in The Army Bomb Disposal Unit. Vic as he was known is sadly also no longer alive but I have some small but amazing photos of him with his comrades and some of the bombs which show what a very brave man he was! My Uncle Vic received recognition of his bravery from Field Marshall Montgomery. Both he and my Father were born in Union Street, Southampton and were both still living in Southampton, Hampshire when they both separately passed away in old age.
