245421 Robert Octavius Whitlock British Army from:Dagenham, Essex Robert Whitlock was my uncle Bob and from what I can remember he served at one time on boats engaged in coastal defence. The irony of this was he hated water and being in the army thought he would avoid this. Too long ago to remember much but he married Vera in 1942 then twins were born the following year, a boy and a girl. They had a happy marriage until he sadly died in 1982
