Sergeant (Pilot) Thomas West was the son of Arthur and Amy Elizabeth West, of Cashelgarron. He was 23 when he died and is buried in Drumcliffe (St. Columa) Church of Ireland Churchyard, Co. Sligo, Ireland.

Additional Information:

Sergeant Pilot Thomas West's full name was Thomas Ian Arthur West. The date of death you record does not accord with other records I have including evidence from his gravestone. The incident in which he met his death took place at 21:50 on 12 September 1941 at Saltby Satellite Airfield. It was a mid air collision and he died immediately. I have photograph of his gravestone at St Columba's Church, Drumcliffe. I am a distant relative of this person.
