Major Ken Roberts was captured on the 23rd April 1940 outside Tretten in Norway when leading the Left Wing of the 8th Battalion, Sherwood Foresters who had arrived in Andalenes, Norway as part of the B.E.F. on the 18th April 1940. He became POW No. 818.
