Pte. John Edward Howlett

from:Hull

John Howlett is my great Granddad and descendant of John Lancaster Graham who himself has a v interesting story. He signed up at Beverley and served in India for nearly six years from 1940 onwards. However he was imprisoned in Colchester Prison at some point and we suspect desertion or AWOL. But are yet to confirm this as we do not have access to his records at the present moment. He had two daughters and one son. Lived in and around Hull most of his life. He was a painter and decorator when he died in 1976. His wife was Doris Wyatt and they had children: Peter, Jean Elsie and Anne.
