Cmdo. James "Dicker" Dolan

James Dolan is my father, who joined up on 23rd of November 1943 on his 20th birthday, the youngest of seven boys. Dad trained long and hard for the D-day landings, but was hospitalised just days before and was eventually sent to the Far East, where he formed part of Lord Mountbatten's retinue when he took surrender from the Japanese.
