Cpl. Frederick Berry

British Army Loyal Regiment (North Lancashire)

from:Farnsworth

My father, Frederick Berry, served in World War 2 in The Loyal Regiment (North Lancashire) in the Atlas Mountains of North Africa. He was wounded by shrapnel from a Panzer tank while manning a gun battery. He was then repatriated to the UK and spent a long time in hospital recuperating. He recovered well and married and had two boys in London. He died in 1992.

I would love to learn more about his war service as he was reluctant to talk about it. I think this is not an unusual story, but would be grateful to learn more about him in the regiment. He said he was the regimental boxing champion.
