Dad, Earle Hoaglin never talked about his time in the war. He was captured outside of Warden Belgium early in the Battle of the Bulge in December 1944 He rode the railway cars (no food, drink or toilets) for 7 days and arrived at Stalag 4B.

He was freed when the Germans retreated, June 1945. He weighed 78lbs when reunified with Allied Forces. (He entered the service at 140lbs). The war memorabilia we have is scant, but is being returned to Bastogne Belgium and the museum of the 101st Airborne Division.
