239094 PFC. Edward Bonnie United States Army from:Queens, New York My father Ed Bonnie enlisted on the 24th of March 1941 at age 27. He trained in Texas and fought in North Africa, Sicily and Italy. He was captured at age 30 at the Battle of Monte Cassino in Italy. He was in Stalag 3B for 472 days before he and a friend escaped and made it to the advancing Russian lines with the Germans in pursuit.
