236569 Pte. Harry Rowntree British Army 2nd Btn. King's Regiment (Liverpool) from:Bilton, Yorkshire (d.12th May 1944) Unfortunately we do not know much about my great uncle Harry Rowntree, other than he was killed in action at Monte Cassino, Italy on 12th May 1944. We have been led to believe that his body was not found, so he is commemorated on panel no. 5. I believe my grandma (his sister) and his parents found it difficult to talk about after his death. The sad thing is that we have no family photos of my great uncle Harry. It would be nice if someone had a group photo of the 2nd Btn. King's Regiment (Liverpool) as I'm hoping he will be on it somewhere.
