FO William Edward Jory

Royal Canadian Air Force 424 Squadron

Flying Officer (Air Gunner) William Jory was the son of Phillip Henry and Emma Jane Jory, of Midland, Ontario, Canada. He was aged 24 when he died and is buried in the Collective grave 270-276 in the Idum Churchyard in Denmark. The bomber was engaged by a nightfighter over Denmark. The planes exchanged fire and MZ901 was finally shot down and crashed at Idom, Denmark.

Additional Information:

Living close by the crash site in Denmark and conducting visits at the gravesite reguarly. Im doing a research on the crew, the crash and the squadron. Im most interested in getting in contact with family, next of kin to the Guild crew members. By now, I'm corresponding with family of B/A V.L.Riley, F/E N.A. Smith. Please contact me with information about this crew and next of kin.
