L/Cpl. William Arthur Dunn

British Army 5th Btn. Royal Inniskilling Dragoon Guards

(d.29th Oct 1944)

My grandmother's brother, Lance Corporal William Arthur Dunn, passed away on 29th October 1944 and is buried at the Bergen-Op-Zoom War Cemetery. Unfortunately we have no photos of him to share.

Additional Information:

My late husband Harry Ridley went to France soon after D Day in 1944 He was a friend of your Gt Uncle Lance Corporal Dunn when their tank was badly damaged in October Several of the crew were able to escape but Harry and your Uncle spent the night on the battlefield and were not rescued until next day because their escape hatch was damaged My sons have done quite a lot of research on Harry's time in the war .We have been to Normandy over the years visiting the various battle fields. We have some photos of Harry and his friends but their are no names on them. I could send you them if you would like me to.
