My father, served in the Royal Army Service Corps for 3 years and 349 days in the RASC Holding Coy (Ceylon) Unit which was deployed in North Africa during the Second World War.
He got discharged on 25th December 1946 as his discharge certificate says. He was a signalman for the RASC.
