231324 S/Sgt. Anthony James Cusimano United States Army 513 Parachute Infantry Regiment from:20 Second Place Brooklyn, New York Dad, Anthony Cusimano was captured December 20, 1944 in Belgium when his battalion became caught and surrounded by German Panzers. His mother was notified 29th of January 1945 that he was missing in action and it was not until 2 months later the War Department notified her that her son was a prisoner of the German Government. My grandmother always said she knew her son would be safe, and he was. Dad went on to serve 28 years in the Army, retiring in 1969 as a Green Beret Chief Warrant Officer 4 (CW4). Dad was first and always a paratrooper. We miss him!
