George Sidney Short

National Fire Service

I believe my father drove an ambulance in WW2. I understand that he was based at Mount Pleasant school in Bevois Valley, Southampton. He was blind in one eye a a result of a childhood illness and was rejected for active service as a result. His name was George Sidney Short and he was 17 when war broke out. Any information or especially photographs would be most gratefully received.
