229380 Act. Sq.Ldr Philip Brandon Royal Air Force 106 Sqdn. (d.18th July 1943) My uncle, Acting Squadron Leader Philip Brandon-Trye, was posted to 106 Squadron at the time of his death on 18th July 1943 in an accident on a gunnery training course. His Wellington III BK235 crashed 1 mile southeast of Appleby when it suffered a wing failure. The crew who died that day were:
