228088 2/Lt Albert Lees British Army London Irish Rifles My dad was a 2nd Lt in the London Irish Rifles, part of the 1st Army in North Africa. He was captured in 1942 and eventually ended up in Oflag 79. He died in 1962 and never talked about his war experiences. I remember a story about fattening up the camp cat to eat it - but someone got there first! Does anyone remember him?
