227905 Mace My father was in Stalag XXA in Thorn, Poland for most of the war. He worked on the local farms. Near the end of the war they were marched back into Germany (in front of the Russian advance), this was also known as a death march. My father only started talking about the war to us after all those years. I was able to find one of his mates on the Commonwealth War Graves site.
