Sgt. James Jope

from:Dolphin Lane, Acocks Green, Birmingham, England.

My grandfather Jimmy Jope was a radio operator during WW2, he was at Dunkirk during the D-Day invasion but the landing craft he was on got hit by a shell and sunk. He was alive and was picked up by one of the small fishing boats that were sent out to help the troops.

I have no pictures of him in uniform or any records I can find, maybe some one could help.
