225483 Gnr. Thomas Arthur Haywood British Army 148 (Bedfordshire Yeomanry) Field Regiment Royal Artillery My grandfather Thomas Haywood was declared missing in action on 15th February 1942 and was then declared captured and held in a POW camp in Thailand. We know little of what happened. We do know he was one of many brave men who was forced to work on the death railway from the Thailand side. He was liberated on 2nd of September 1945. He died on 28th December 1992. If anyone could help us find which camp he was held in, or has any information about his comrades, we would be forever grateful.
