Bdr. Noel George F. Newman
British Army Royal Artillery

George Newman (as he was known) was born on the 27th of Dec 1907. He enlisted in the Royal Sussex Regiment on the 27th of July 1923 and served in Singapore and India being discharged on 20th of Nov 1935. He was recalled to the colours for the duration of the War in the Royal Artillery attaining the rank of Bombardier. George and his wife moved to Australia in 1949.
