My Uncle Tony McMahon is the chap on the left of the front row in the photo which Leonard Price is on the right of the front row.
He was captured not far from Dunkirk where the Glosters and the Wiltshires were defending the line. He was in Stalag XXB and worked on a farm, the family wanted him to stay but he wanted to go home. He was on the death march and survived mainly because his Mother had sent him a pair of boots. He died when he was in his eighties, a bachelor.
