220523 F/O Willem Jacob van Royal Canadian Air Force 10 Sqd. (d.10th Jun 1944) Willem van Stockum is my mother's brother. He was the person who introduced my parents in 1932. He died in 1944 and my father told my mother "the wrong man came back", meaning that Willem was more important to her than he was, and that his bravery made him the one who deserved to come home. He was Dutch.
A book has been written about Willem Time Bomber by an Army Major and pediatrician, Dr. Robert Wack.
